Tripps Travel Network believes there is something exciting about each and every season in Portland, Oregon. From the Rose Festival in the summer to winter sporks near Mount Hood in the winter, each trip can be even better than the last.
Washington Park is a favorite of Tripps Travel Network due to its diversity. The park is located in the western part of the city and is open from 5am to 10pm. Specific attractions may charge extra, but the park itself is free for all. Among the landscaping in Washington Park are the Japanese Garden, Hoyt Arboretum, and four memorials dedicated to Oregon’s history.
- The family friendly attractions also make this park one of the best. The Oregon Zoo and Portland’s Children’s Museum attract a regular crowd. For those who want to play outside there are playgrounds, soccer fields, tennis courts, and an archery range. There is also a wonderful system of paths, mostly shaded, that wind throughout the park, decorated with flowers and fountains.
- There are over 10 places in Oregon to Ski, but Mount Hood is the region’s prime skiing area and when the snow beings to fall, this is the place to be. Meadows has 11 lifts and an elevation of 7,300 ft and SkiBowl has 4 lifts and an elevation of 5,027 feet. There are slopes for each and every skill level and when skies need a break, the Timberline Lodge is a great place to grab a bite. It’s a bit of a drive at 90 miles east of downtown, but makes for a great day trip or quick overnight.
Tripps Travel Network will help make your Portland vacation delightful, whether planned around the sun, or the snow.
